Of generous proportions, usual two-handled form, the central unengraved oval surrounded by chased
scale diapering within embossed scrolls, below a plain band and a rope girdle sided by chased palmettes, the lower
half with chased and embossed wrythen fluting and circles below further palmettes, raised on a circular foot, beaded c-scroll
handles, the marks placed next to the rim; scratch-engraved 1707 and E to the verso
Mark: Grimwade # 876
Condition: excellent; marks very legible with very slight rubbing;
one handle with silver solder reinforcement to the upper attachment
