A quite large pair of Old
Sheffield Plate candelabra, with tapering stems
surmounted by gadrooned
urn-form sconces having gadrooned bobeches,
the stems headed a
horizontal row of shell and dot decoration,
the lower stem with a gadrooned
knop raised a circular gadrooned base,
each with 3-arm branches having
corresponding gadrooned urn-form sconces and gadrooned bobeches,
the central 4th light with an
additional gadrooned sconce and flame finial (removable), convertible to
plain candlesticks
Condition : Overall excellent; a
few bobeches with minor abrasion to the bobeche edges, showing in sconce
image below
a few expected areas of bleed to
the high places; no areas of re-silvering
