FINE & RARE KANGXI GREEN-GLAZED BOWL

China, c1682-90

A fine Chinese taste Kangxi period bright green-glazed porcelain bowl, the exterior decorated in black with four lotus

blossoms among leafy scrolls, the interior with a central lingzhi, verso with a “jade trinket” mark

(Marks on Chinese Ceramics, Davidson, Pl. #289), the jade marks being reserved for the finest wares.

Condition: Excellent, with minor firing imperfections at the bottom, and some tiny glaze flakes and crazing

Provenance: A private Austrian collection, acquired at auction in Austria 20 years ago
