Cover & Collar with 1814 Small Articles Sword & Illegible Maker's Marks

The baluster form porcelain jar painted in bright blues with four horizontal panels
divided by three fine horizontal lines,
each panel depicting bamboo with three seated parrots,*
the neck and cover with engraved silver mounts :
the scalloped collar bright-cut with 4-dot flowerheads between
two lines of scrolling zig-zag diapering;
the domed cushioned cover with a horizontal flowerhead and foliage scrolled band,
surmounted by a pointed knop finial surrounded an engraved 6-petal flowerhead
*Note :
Similar birds are depicted on Ming Kraak 'Crowcups' ('kraaikoppen' in Dutch)
so named as the birds resembled crows.
However, entries in VOC trade records describe these birds as 'parrots'.
Marks :

Condition : Excellent; the mounts with very minor small dents and two pinholes to engraving
