Good George III Silver Nutmeg Grater, of Barrel Form, London, 1800 

 

Of heavy gauge silver in three parts, the slightly ovoid barrel in two parts,
having four bands of horizontal reeding, the screw-off top threaded onto the base
retaining the silver-banded original blue steel grater;
adequate space for a nutmeg both below and above the grater;
fully marked inside the cover, and lion passant within the base

 

Condition : Excellent; marks exceptionally crisp and detailed

 

 

1-3/4" High, 1-3/16" Diameter at Waist
.9 oz.
