George Pierson, London 1819

The circular top with gadrooned edge surmounted by a two-sided upright shell and shaped crest, each side incised & filled "CLARET", all above a long rod with threaded end and circular silver mount (unmarked)

 

Condition : Excellent, with minor fading to the lettering only; bending to the lower mount;

the early cork is shortened, but functional;  the mount is also shown with a contemporary wine cork

 

4.25" / 1.8 oz. without cork

The simple round mount with an upright circular finger-ring pull above a long silver screw with silver disc-form base;

marked to the top and the base; with early cork

 

Condition : Excellent; crisp marks

 

3.5” Long overall / .8 oz total weight with cork
