George II Baluster Wine Glass with Two Tears, England, c1730 

 

The bell shaped bowl with a deep base having a single small tear,
over an inverted baluster stem with additional small tear and basal knop,
raised on a folded foot, snapped pontil

 

Of Interest : The inverted baluster is considered the most comfortable to hold in the hand.

 

Condition : Excellent; good weight and grey tone; no flaws found

 

6-7/8" High, The Rim 2-5/8" High, The Foot 2-5/8" Wide
10.2 oz.
