Of heavy gauge silver, the deep bowl with reeded rim and three applied side ribs,
engraved to the body in contemporary script, 'J. Keere',
the spout complete and unaltered;
the interior strainer with floriform piercing and shaped tang to the side
Condition : Excellent with a very small dent to the lower edge of the strainer;
no repairs; good marks
6.75" High x 3.25" Wide at Rim / 5 oz.

The funnel stand, well fitted to the associated funnel,
of plain circular form with high domed center and reeded edge,
good marks verso, the bottom of the makers mark rubbed but legible
Wine funnel stands were designed to catch any residue left in the funnel from decanting.
It is said most stands were made in Edinburgh, some in Dublin and even less in London.
Some are flat, and some domed, as the above.
Condition : Excellent with minor wear appropriate to age and usage
