GEORGE III CUT GLASS MALLET FORM DECANTER
England, c1770

 

 

The body of mallet form with sloping shoulders,
having cut swags centering flowerheads above a band of upright basal fluting;
the base slightly concave and polished; the ovoid stopper with a faceted edge

 

Condition : Excellent condition; the stopper with a chip to the base and sits low in the neck
(so may or may not be associated); good footrim wear to the base

 

11.25" High / Without Stopper 9.25" / Base : 4.25" Wide / 16.4 oz
