The finely executed rocaille carved and pierced giltwood surround of S- and C-scrolls, acanthus leaves
and floral pendants framing an antique plate, the crest centering a dimensionally carved feathered phoenix,
the dramatically curved phoenix neck extending forward of the mirror plane 7 inches.
retaining most of its original gilding.

One of the better giltwood mirrors recently available in the United States.
