The escutcheon form bottle ticket (wine label), of silver-gilt,
inscribed to the center for PORT, with 'feathered' edges;
suspended from a belcher chain.
Marks : Marked R.B in a 2-lobed punch and lion passant
Excellent condition, without breaks or repairs
Ref : Wine Labels, E.W. Whitworth, p. 17 : "Escutcheon labels with feathered edges are rare."
