EARLY GEORGE III MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS

Of excellent heavy tight-grained heavy timbers (probably Jamaican or Cuban) with deep rich color and graining, the molded rectangular top over a case with wooden dressing slide above four graduated cockbeaded long drawers, each with the original brass bail handles and escutcheons, raised on shaped bracket feet and a molded plinth; retains original key

 

Provenance : Alfred Bullard Inc., Philadelphia

 

Condition : Excellent; minor nicks and scratches appropriate to age and usage; original brasses and key

 

36” High x 33-1/2” Wide x 21-3/4” Deep
