The deep round cup with folded rim and double snake ring handle,

the body embossed with trailing grape vine decoration between upper and lower dotted lines,

the rim inscribed with owner’s initials :

 J. NVGERE

The verso with maker’s mark A over N.G within a lozenge;

the rim marked with a cockerel and 1, beside the 1809-19 Provincial Grosse Garantie mark
