Of globular form, the neck and spout with silver mounts,
the shoulders painted with wide-bordered lappets
filled with chrysanthemum heads and leaves among formal scrolls,
each side with further chrysanthemum and peonies with grasses
issuing from a blue hollow rock;
the loop handle and spout painted with waterweeds;
the domed cover having four further chrysanthemum within a diapered border;
the silver marked to the rim and cover,
Dutch Antiques .934-.833 fineness, 19th century sword, maker's mark TH
Note : A similarly decorated Yongzheng teapot was sold by this gallery a few years ago,
of lotus moulded form with an applied scroll footrim
Condition : Good to excellent, having internal firing flaw at the base
