BOW PORCELAIN MOLDED & LOBED LEAF DISH
England, c1765-70

 


 

The deep geranium-leaf lobed dish molded and painted in bright blue
with fruiting grape vines, small blossoms and scattered insects
within a shaped feuille-de-choux rim,
the verso with a pseudo Oriental character mark

 

Condition: Excellent with only a glaze flake to the rim,

and a burned red glaze skip indicating the skip before firing;

no glaze skips to the center surface molding or glaze, only reflections seen in the images;

normal wear to the footrim
