The long tapering oval form chased and chased in the Dutch genre painting manner,

 each side with descending vignettes :

 a man before a house in a fenced garden, above a castle with flag, above the entrance to a house with fence;

 reserved on a ground chased to resemble a tree trunk and small dense leaves;

the screw-off cover chased en suite with 2 houses beside a fence on a leafy ground;

the case fully marked at bottom edge, the cover partially marked on the top

Condition : Excellent, with good marks and detail to decoration; a few minor dents to the body;

quite large and most unusual!
