I.I Crowned & Another II, John Irish, Cork, Ireland, 1755

 

 

Each with upturned terminal cast as two shells between foliage over a bell-flower within shaped cartouche, the bowl heels also with a cast shell and scratch initialed A * B

 

See Jackson's Silver & Gold Marks, "Marks on Cork Plate, Table IV", for the I.I crowned mark found on a teaspoon; John Irish listed as working c1750-70; marks of I.I crowned, plus and additional I I above, legible at least in part on three

 

Condition : Light wear to the bowls and maker’s marks; maker’s mark partially obscured;
