An oversized large chair with a yoked crestrail over a wide cyma-curve splat featuring well carved paperscrolls, over an almost square slip seat with veneered seatrails, raised on shell carved cabriole legs ending in pad feet and connected  by block and turned stretchers to the rear blocked legs; peg construction ; excellent color and patina; well figured veneers

 

Condition : Excellent with rich color and patina; minor nicks appropriate to age and usage;

several stable shrinkage cracks visible in images; repairs to each front seat rail at knee, visible in images;

seat upholstery applied out of level; however the seat frame is level
