The rectangular stuff-over seats with 17^th century style tapestry coverings, raised on block and turned legs,

the lower block with applied vertical geometric moldings,

joined by block and turned H-form stretchers and ending in flattened bun feet;

each of the identical form and construction; one slightly larger than the other;

wonderful color and patination; quite heavy timbers

Condition : Excellent for age;

some old worm holes, surface wear, nicks and gouging, pegging, and small losses to timbers throughout;.

 replaced walnut bun feet (expected); foot wear to the top of the stretchers as appropriate;

late 19^th century replaced corner blocks (joining the seat rails);

tapestry coverings 20^th century and in good condition
