Shown above is a rare version of Caughley "Mother and Child" pattern, Shropshire, England, c1775-80, printed in slightly "runny" vibrant blues with a lady beside an urn of grapes and other fruit, at her knee a child holding a small clover-leaf shaped hand fan in the crook of his right elbow and a flower in his hand; Cheerios; and a Royal dognose spoon belonging to the "mother of all time", Queen Anne of England, who bore 18 children, none of whom survived - then went of to be "Mother" of all of Great Britain from 1702-14. (More will be released about Queen Anne's spoons in June). SOLD (both the bowl and spoons)
