GOOD SET of SIX queen anne Britannia SILVER Hanoverian spoons

Samuel Hitchcock, London, 1713-14

 

 

 

Of heavy gauge silver, the ovoid bowls with rattail attachments to a long thick shaft;

Good marks, the maker’s mark truncated but visible on all spoon, the date letter rubbed on three

 

These are quite early for Hanoverian spoons, the English use beginning about 1710.

 

Condition : Excellent; very good bowl condition; no evidence of monogram or removal

 

7.5” Long / 11.9 oz.
