GEORGE I BRITANNIA SILVER MARROW SPOON

S?, London, 1723

 

 

 

 

The large egg shaped spoon bowl with a plain rattail attachment to a narrow shaft and narrow scoop

facing in the opposite direction as the bowl, the heel with scratched initials "L" over "RM",

crested within the bowl (a demi-buck springing gouged with a ducal coronet),

maker's mark partially worn "S"?

 

Condition : Excellent with wear to the maker’s mark; other marks good and very legible

 

9" Long / 1.75 oz.
