The small oval basket in a miniature version of the larger cake basket, decorated in a most charming 18th century interpretation of

17th century punch work, having barbed punch-gadrooned edge raised on a small flaring footrim, the sides and rim with delicate

scrolling floral and foliate punch work, surrounding an embossed starburst center and loop and drop border; twisted bail handle;

the verso with clear crisp marks and initialed in contemporary scrip I L

 

Condition : Slight looseness to the handle
