Of well figured mahogany in the original finish, with original bail handles and original feet, the rectangular molded and banded caddy
top over four graduated drawers raised on shaped ogee bracket feet, the top drawer fitted wtih a sliding leather inset writing surface;
excellent color and patination
Condition: Very good to excellent; of unusual provincial construction (apparently with wood on hand), each drawer front veneer
with triangular piecing to each end; 3/4" square patch to second drawer; one 2" wide re-colored veneer strip on third drawer
(left end); expected nicks and scuffs appropriate to age and usage; two ink bottle marks the left side of the top; interior slide frame with
refinish; the top with rich repolish
